Support for Parents and Perinatal Mental Health
‘It takes a village.’ I genuinely believe that given adequate support, knowledge and skills, parenthood can set the scene for a rewarding and joyful personal growth journey. I am passionate about attachment theory, concepts like ‘the first 1000 days’ and the neuroscience research behind child development and learning. I offer support to parents who want to improve their emotional regulation skills to better cope with the day-to-day and who want practical tips and strategies to problem solve particular parenting challenges. I also offer support to parents who want to find a more authentic or effective parenting style and to build stronger relationships/connection with their children.
I have completed perinatal specific training with the Centre of Perinatal Excellence (COPE), have experience working in a perinatal-specific mental health service and am also a trained Circle of Security group facilitator.
